What you’re looking at

FBI infrared still from the September 2025 reporting window. Frame designation B2 places it in the second of at least two B-series captures (alongside B7, B18, B20).

Context

The September dates (B2, B7, B18, B20) precede the December dates (Photo 1, A5) by roughly three months — same region, same agency, same imagery type.

Why this matters

The temporal split inside a single regional cluster is the most editorially interesting feature of the FBI series. Either a single object loitered or returned, or distinct objects with similar signatures appeared on similar trajectories. Either interpretation is non-trivial.

What it does NOT show

Provenance text accompanying the war.gov publication does not specify whether the September and December events are formally linked in the FBI's case file.
