    Soviet astronomer photographed and obtained spectrum of apparent gas eruption in Alphonsus crater. Spectrum showed carbon emission lines.

    Three reddish patches observed brightening and dimming over Aristarchus crater for fifteen minutes. Multiple-observer confirmation. Published Sky and Telescope.

    Crew observed object pacing the spacecraft during translunar coast. NASA explanation: SLA panel debris.
